Privacy & cookies

Short version: this site doesn't track you unless you say it can. Here's the longer version, so you know exactly what you're agreeing to.

What the site does on its own

daddasounds.com is a plain static site. There are no accounts, no forms, no ads and no cookies set by the site itself. Like any web server, the one hosting this site logs basic request data (IP address, page and time) for security and operations.

Your cookie choice is remembered in your browser's local storage on your own device (not in a cookie, and it never leaves your browser). Use the cookie button at the bottom left of any page to change your mind at any time.

Analytics (only if you allow it)

If you accept analytics, the site loads Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics. They record things like which pages you view, roughly where you are, and what device you use, so I can see which pages and guides are actually useful. Google receives your IP address as part of that and may process data outside the EU. I don't use it for ads and I don't sell anything about you. See Google's privacy policy.

If you decline, none of this loads and nothing is sent to Google.

Third-party content (only if you allow it)

If you accept third-party content, the following load directly from the companies that run them, and they may set their own cookies and see your IP address:

YouTube (Google): embedded videos in the guides, loaded in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. YouTube privacy.

Bandcamp: the music players on the home page. Bandcamp privacy.

If you decline, the videos and players stay as placeholders with a plain link to the original.

Buying something

The buy buttons are plain links. This site loads nothing from Gumroad. When you press one you leave this site for Gumroad's own checkout page, which Gumroad runs. Their cookies and measurement apply there, including any analytics I've enabled in my Gumroad account. See Gumroad's privacy policy.

Your rights and who to ask

I'm Mattias Dahdouh (Dadda) and I'm responsible for this site. You can ask what data I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it, or object to how it's used. Reach me through any of the links on the About page.

If you're not happy with the answer, you can complain to the Swedish data protection authority, IMY.
